Scentsy Open House

The Scentsy open house last Saturday was a wonderful success ! Thank you to all of you that were able to come.

During the open house allot of the guests asked for the recipes for the dishes I made... Here they are.


Grape Salad



3lb each of seedless green and purple grapes

1 8oz package of cream cheese

1 8 oz container sour cream

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 ounces chopped pecans

2 tbsp brown sugar



Wash and dry grapes. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla, and white sugar. Add grapes and mix until evenly incorporated. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans, mix again and refrigerate until serving.



Refrigerate over night or at least a few hours.



Chocolate Chip Cheese cake bars.



3/4 cup shortening

3/4 cup sugar

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1-1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1-1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

3/4 cup chopped pecans



Filling

2 packages (8oz each) cream cheese softened

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract



In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add in flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. Set aside a third of the dough for topping. Press remaining dough into a greased 13x9 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 8 min
Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Spoon over crust. Drop teaspoonfuls of reserved dough over filing. Bake at 350 for 35-40 min or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cover and store in the refrigerator.


Yields 3 dozen.





Baked Spinach-Artichoke Dip


1 cup mayo

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 can (14 ounces) artichokes hearts drained and coarsely chopped

1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed to drain

½ cup chopped red bell pepper

¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese



Serve with crackers or toasted baguette slices



Heat oven to 350. Mix Mayo, and parmesan cheese. Stir in artichokes, spinach and bell pepper
Spoon mixture into 1 quart casserole.
Sprinkle with Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Cover and bake about 20 min or until cheese is melted.




Cheddar Apple Pie Dip


1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 each: red and green apple, finely chopped (about 2 cups)

1/2 cup Walnut Pieces, coarsely chopped

1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened

1-1/2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1/2 cup Sour Cream



Serve with WHEAT THINS Original Crackers

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add apples and walnuts; toss until evenly coated. Set aside.

MIX cream cheese and Cheddar cheese in medium bowl. Add sour cream; stir until well blended. Spread into 9-inch pie plate; top with apple mixture.

BAKE 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve with crackers.
